🐾 Goose’s Corner: Not My Favorite Adventure

Well friends, Goose had his neuter surgery this week.

As many of you know, after losing my soul dog Bandit, anything involving vet visits makes me a little nervous. So dropping Goose off that morning was harder on me than it was on him.

The good news? He came through surgery just fine.

The bad news? Apparently no one explained to Goose that recovery requires rest.

Instead, he’s spent most of his time trying to convince me that:✔ He’s completely healed.✔ Running is a good idea.✔ Jumping is a better idea.✔ The cone is a personal attack.

Meanwhile, I’ve been following him around like an overprotective mom saying things like:

“Get down.”

“Stop that.”

“Leave it alone.”

“No, you cannot sprint across the yard.”

Needless to say, neither of us is enjoying recovery very much.

For now, we’re taking it one day at a time, accepting extra snuggles, and looking forward to getting back to our normal adventures.
