3Week 4 on GLP-1: Adjustments, Patience… and a Few New Additions
Well… here we are at week 4.
And if I’m being honest?
Not a whole lot has visibly changed.
But behind the scenes? A lot is going on.
The Scale & Changes (or Lack Thereof 😅)
I wish I had some big exciting update here…
…but I don’t.
Things still feel pretty steady. Not worse, not dramatically better — just kind of moving along.
And I’m learning (whether I like it or not) that this process is a lot slower than I expected.
Dose Increase
I did have an increase in my GLP-1 dose this week, so I’m curious to see if that starts to make a difference.
Right now, I’m still in that in-between phase where you’re waiting to see:
👉 is this the dose that works?
👉 or am I still ramping up?
Sleep Apnea & That Mouthpiece 😬
So… I officially have a device now for sleep apnea.
Not gonna lie — it’s an adjustment.
It’s not exactly glamorous, and it’s definitely something I have to get used to.
But if it helps me sleep better and actually feel rested?
I’ll take it.
Because I’m realizing more and more that sleep plays a HUGE role in all of this.
Estrogen Patch (Welcome to the Party)
And… we added an estrogen patch into the mix.
Because apparently we’re fixing everything all at once now 😅
I’m really curious to see how this affects:
- energy
- mood
- sleep
- overall balance
Because hormones? They are no joke at this stage of life.
The Bigger Picture (This Is What I’m Learning)
This isn’t just a “weight loss journey.”
It’s:
- hormones
- sleep
- metabolism
- habits
- energy
👉 ALL of it tied together
And I’m starting to understand that if one piece is off… everything feels off.
What I’m Focusing On Right Now
Since nothing dramatic is happening, I’m keeping it simple:
- staying consistent
- trusting the process (even when I’m side-eyeing it 😄)
- giving my body time to adjust to all these changes
Because clearly… it’s doing a lot behind the scenes.
